Responsibilities include:

-Generate leads and handle inquiries from prospective clients

Description: Sales Engineers are responsible for guiding customer integrations for our SaaS video platform, from pre-sales through launch, and will work closely with our sales team, business development, customer service and technical teams. As a Sales Engineer at Magnify.net you will have the opportunity to learn about different industries, be exposed to and become an expert in various web techniques surrounding display and instream advertising, video encoding and delivery, analytics and web design, and to work with key industry stakeholders throughout the implementation process. The Sales Engineer will be trained on our technology and will be expected to become proficient with all aspects of the implementation process and core product features.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the sales team to support technical solutions for our SaaS customers
  • Maintaining technical expertise and feature proficiency in all aspects of the Magnify platform
  • Participating in prospective client meetings, presentations, conference calls, web conferences and whiteboard sessions
  • Creating detailed Statements of Work for customer implementations
  • Leading customers in understanding, organizing and implementing technical aspects of their platform integration
  • Working on multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deliverable deadlines

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university. Candidates with a degree in computer science or engineering preferred.
  • 2-7 years of work experience in a web related field
  • Proficiency in or interest in learning the technical aspects of the Magnify platform implementation process, including ad serving techniques, video encoding, media delivery, web-based analytics packages and web design
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exposure to the concepts of web-based applications preferred
  • Exposure to front-end scripting techniques using JavaScript preferred
  • Exposure to web design techniques using HTML and CSS preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
  • Experience writing clear, accurate design specification, proposals or other business documents preferred

Magnify.net is looking for a Junior Developer to to join our technical team.  The Junior Developer will build new product features as well as maintain existing software and provide technical assistance to customers integrating with the Magnify platform.  As part of our team you will have the opportunity to work on a high performance, highly available, highly visible SaaS platform and gain critical experience developing and maintaining software deployed in a multi-server, multi-platform environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with the Perl programming language, the LAMP environment as well as exposure to Java and distributed computing technologies such as web services, message queues and data grids.

 

Responsibilities

  • Working with the technical team to design, develop and maintain a highly available web-based application platform built using Perl, MySQL and Java in a Linux environment
  • Developing, maintaining and monitoring custom-built technical solutions that facilitate customer integration with our platform
  • Integrating third-party data sources with the Magnify platform and helping to monitor and maintain those integrations
  • Aiding the technical team in fixing bugs and participating in the QA process for new feature deployments
  • Communicating with the customer service team regarding bugs, project timelines and deliverables and customer implementation tasks

 

Qualifications

  • The minimum of a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field or demonstrated relevant technical experience is required
  • Experience working in a LAMP environment is required
  • Experience writing Perl in a web application environment is required
  • Experience with SQL is required
  • Experience working with version control systems such as Subversion or GIT is required
  • Experience working in a Linux environment using the command line is required, some experience with Linux system administration is strongly preferred
  • Exposure to data caching technologies like memcached or EHCache is preferred
  • Exposure to HTTP caching technologies like Varnish or Squid is preferred
  • Exposure to Java is preferred
  • Exposure to distributed computing technologies, such as web services, message queues and data grids is highly desirable
  • Exposure to Amazon Web Services like EC2 and S3 is desirable
  • A working knowledge of basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX and JSON is desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability and desire to work in a very fast paced team environment and adhere to both internal and external deadlines
